Gentlemen:
Reference (a) requestal modifications to the Cc1 vert Cliffs Unit 2 Technical Specifications to incorporate measurement--calculational uncertainties of 6.0 and 7.0 percent on Fr and F, respectively.

Staff noted that Reference (a) did not contain a safety evaluation specific to Unit 2 and requested-that one be provided. The following paragraph provides the requested safety evaluation.
Safety Evaluation The requested uncertainties are larger than those currently in the Technical Specifications and vill, therefore, increase the con-straints on plant operation.
Consequently, implementation of the requested uncertainties vill have no adverse effect on the consequences of the Design Basis Events reported in Unit 2, Cycle 2 License Application (Reference B).
A review of the Unit 2 Technical Specifications has been conducted to ensure that no other technical specifications vould be affectcl by approval and implementation of this request.
