s We wish to amend our Certificate of Compliance number USA /5796/B (copy attached)

Docket #71-5796 by adding an alternate radioactive source,137Cs. Picker has had 137 previous authorization to ship Cs in this shipping container per license No. 34-08145-03 Item 4B, C which was inadvertently allowed to expire.

137 60 The following items are pertentant to Cs shipments.

Co shipment will remain unchanged as indicated in our present C.O.C. 5796.

137 1)

Shipments of Cs will be made in the 181361 shipping containers.

2)

The only difference between our present packaging and that indicated 137 in the C.O. C. is Cs shipments will use the 13709A source holder 60 instead of the 13709B holder which is authorized for Co. (Dwgs attached).

3)

The 137Cs will be in the form of Cesium Chloride Salt Tablets encapsulated in sealed sources.

137 4)

The Maximum amount of Cs activity will be 2200 curies.

137 5)

The Cs heat decay will not exceed 17 watts.

In discussing this addition with you on 5/14/79, you had indicated this amendment, due to its simplicity, may be classified as a administrative change. In accordance with the fee schedule in part 170.31 - 11C enclosed is our check for $150.00.
