2.206 REQUEST OF EilVIRONMENTAL COALITION ON NUCLEAR POWER TO REV0KE LICENSE OF TMI UNIT 1 By petition dated June 29, 1979, on behalf of the Fnvironmental Coalition on liuclear Power, it is requested under 10 CFR 2.206 that a show cause pro-ceeding be imediatel,y initiated to revoke pennanently the operating ifcense for TMI-1. Although addressed to the Directors of NRR, NMSS and IE, the subject matter of the petition appears to be more appropriately within the jurndiction of the Director of NRR.
As it appears that this matter may be handled expeditiously by the enclosed draft response, it is unnecessary to transmit our customary acknowledgments and Federal Register notice.
This office will work with your staff on this matter.
