I am writing you in response to your inquiry of June 17, 1979.
You wanted to know if we had issued any revisions, expansions, amendments or final policy statements on Licensing Proceoures for Geologic Reposi-tories for High-Level Radioactive Wastes.
The Comission intends to replace the Policy Statement with a Proposed Rule.
Our Waste Management staff is preparing a revision to the draft Licensing Procedures for publication in the Federal Register later this year.
In addition, an Advance Notice of Rulemaking containing technical criteria for licensing a_ geologic repository is also being prepared.
Your name has been placed on the distribution list for these and other publications relating to the development of regulations for licensing of high-level waste disposal.
