Dear Susan:
My testimony related to boiling of the spent fuel pool will be altered to take into account the events of the recent rarrisburg accident.
The build-up of a hydrogen gas bubble at the Taree l'ile Island reactor vas due prt:arily to the vigorous reaction between zirconium and water which can oc-cur at 1000 OC.
This type of reaction is also possible in a spent fuel pool and could lead to a hydrogen exclosion.
As we agreed durin? the deposition-taking, the Applicant ust be infor:ned of any new development in v work.
