FACILITY : Waterford Unit No. 3 SUBJECT
- SITE VISIT AND TECHNICAL MEETING The NRC has received an application for an cperating license for Waterford Unit No. 3.
As part of the environmental, review of this application, the NRC staff visited the Waterford site on March 20, 1979, and held a tech-nical meeting with the applicant on March 21 in New Orleans to discuss the infonnation needed by the staff to write an environmental statement on the proposed action (issuance of an operating license for the unit). The attendance lists for the site visit and technical meeting are enclo9ad.
The agenda for the technical meeting consisted of a list of questions (and information requests) that was sent to the applicant as an enclosure to the' letter from R. Ballard dated March 9, 1979. At the meeting some of these questions were answered and others were deleted or modified.
In the near future, the staff will send to the applicant a formal request for additional information (RAI) to supplement the Environmental Report. This RAI will consist essentially of the questions arrived at as a result of this meeting.
