Dear Mr. Varga:
This letter serves to inform you that the Long Island Lighting Company will invoke ASME Section III Summer addendum of the 1974 Edition, Subsection MB Paragraph NB-4436, which allows welding of permanent attachments meeting the requirements of MB-4433 and temporary or minor permanent attachments meeting the requirements of NB-4435 to the piping system after per-formance of the pressure test.
This change will be reviewed and approved by LILCO, by our engineering and installation agents and by the independent code inspection agency, Hartford Steam Boiler Company, prior to implementation.
This change will be incorporated into the appropriate design specifications and installation documentation at the time of their implementation.
