Rausch of your office of a potential reportable deficiency at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Station construction site concerning the failure o f a Type I.2 Auxiilary Switch Assembly installed in the 4. 16
'V switch-y,ca r. Other switch assemblies of the same type installed equipment and sparen from stock were found to have cracked "end mouldings".
The f a iled swit ch assembly and one of the switch assemblies v'th a crack in the end moulding were returned to the equipment supplier for analysis.
The results of the analysis should enable us to make a final determination of reportability and submit a final report by May 30, 1979.
