.iRC letter dated March 6, 1979 requested Consumers Power Company to review a draft evaluation for Big Rock Point of Systematic Evaluation Program Topic V-10.A, " Residual Heat Renoval System Heat Exchanger Tube Failures." Consuners Power Company was requested to examine the facts upon which the staff based its evaluation and identify any errors.

Recent testing has provided more detailed information concerning operating pressures experienced by various components. To reflect this information, the following changes should be made to the draft evaluation forwarded by your March 6, 1979 letter.

a.

The second sentence of the fourth paragraph should be revised to read, "... which operates at a maximum nominal pressure of 70 psig."

b.

The first sentence of the cixth paragraph should be revised to read, "The RCW system pressure at the two RCW heat ex-cnangers varies from a few incnes of water vacuum to a few psig."
