SUBJECT:
5 ION OF STATUS OF S-3 INTERIM RULE (IN THE MATTER OF AMENDMENT OF 10 CFR PART 51' LICENSING OF PRODUCTION AND UTILIZATION FACILITIES (ENCIRONMENTAL EFFECTS OF THE URANIUM FUEL CYCLE), DOCKET NO. RM 50-3),1:30 P.M. THURSDAY, DECEMEER 14, 1978, COMMISSIONERS' CONFERENCE ROOM, D.C. OFFICE (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Commissicn, by a vote of 5-0, approved, as revised and subject to individual Ccmmissicner review, a prcposed Order calling for Oral Argument i., the subject proceedir.g.
In approving the Order, the Commission recuested the fellowing revisions:
(a) a change in the footnote on page 2 of the Order to indicate that, althoug'r New Ycrk State did not recuest time for oral pre-sentation and TVA cpposed Oral Argument, both parties are invited to participate shoulc they choose to attend; and (b) deletion of the sentence "The time period includes time alloted fcr cuestier.s by the Commission" (lines 9-10, page 2 of the Order),
and the phrase "but may not yield any of their time to other participants."

(The Secretary signed the Order en December 15, 1978.
The Order es tablishes 9 :15 A.".., January 19, 1979 as the time and date for Cral Arcumer.t).
Tne Commission aiso requested that a list of questions on which the parties will be specifically recuested to comment should be deveicped and orovided tc the parties as a separate document.
