fiRC STAFF'S OBJECTIOil5 TO IflTERROGATORIES OF GREE!;E COUtlTY Pursuant to 10 CFR !s2.740(b) and 2.744(b) of the fluclear Regulatory Commission's rules of practice, the f;RC Staff objects to certain interroga-tories (as designated herein) propounded in "Greene County's Interrogatories to fiRC Staff and Statement in Support Thereof" dated February 23, 1979. The bases for these objections have been developed in "flRC Staff's Objections to Interrogatories and First Request for Production of Documents Propcunded by the Power Authority of the State of flew York", which is being served jointly with this pleading. Specifically, we are relying upon, and incorporate herein by reference,Section II of that pleading dealing with interrogatories which are objectionable because they require Staff to compile data, do additional research, or make additional calculaticas.

. Interrogatories 9(A), 9(C), and ll(H) are cbjectionable on this basis.
Interrogatories 9(A) and 9(S) ask Staff to recalculate delay costs based upon :ertain assumptions set forth by Greene County.
Staff does not have to unjertake such recalculations, particularly since there is no indication that Greene County is incapable of making these calculations itself.
Interro-gatory ll(H) asks Staff to evaluate Fitzpatrick and other upstate sites in thesamemannerinwhichitevaluatedmid-HudsonRiYersites. Greene County would require Staff to perform an analysis different from that undertaken in the FES with respect to upstate sites.
(FES, pp. 9-28 thrcugh 9-30). Staff does not have to undertake such an analysis at the request of another party.
For these reasons, Staff objects to Greene County interrogatories 9(A), 9(B) andll(H).
