The Nuclear Regulatory Comission Staff has recently become aware of a document which contains information potentially relevant to the issue of sabotage of spent nuclear fuel. The document is classified as naticnal security information and is in draft form.
It is uncertain that a final version will ever be published. The sabotage issue was the subject of an earlier letter dated December 20, 1978 to this Board which transmitted certain Comission Information Reports.
A copy of the transmittal memorandum,d/ unclassified, is attached for the information of the Board and the parties.
A Staff assessment of the significance of this information is being conducted and will be forwarded to the Board and the parties as soon as it becomes available.
