License t;o. 43-12037-04 l'otice of Violation Based on the results of the f:RC inspection conductad on Deceter 5-6, 1978, certain ectivities appear to be in noncomoliance with the conditions of your !1RC License fio. 43-12037-04 as indicated below:
1.
License Condition 8.J. limits the licensee to possess at any one time not more than 350 millicuries of americium-241 in the form of sealed sources.
License Condition 8.!1. limits the licensee to possess at any one time not more than 125 nillicuries of nickel-33 in the form of foils.
Contrary to these limitations, licensee documents recorded possession of 600 millicuries of americium-241 sealed sources and 239 millicuries of nickel-63 foils at the time of the inspection.
This is an infraction.
2.
License Condition 13.D. requires that records of sealed source leak test results be maintained for inspection by the Commission.
Contrary to this requirement, records were not maintained of the results of leak tests performed between January 1976 and December 1978 for two promethium-147 sealed sources of 60 and 180 nillicuries ac t ivi ty.
This is a deficiency.
