Dear Mr. Secretary:
In your letter of December 6,1978, you requested a listing of possible actions by this Commission requiring notification under section 5(h) of the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act of 1953 as amended in 1978 (P.L.95-372).
At this time, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has no matter pending before it which would have a direct and significant effect on the Outer Continental Shelf. The one potential action of significance, the Atlantic Generating Station, has been cancelled by the applicant, Public Service Company of New Jersey, in a recent announcement.
The Commission staff is very interested in the administrative concepts in the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act with respect to Federal / State coordination.
