FACILITY ATTACHMENT - WR-1 REACTOR (LICENSE APPLICATION XSNM01334, SECY 78-679)
Discussion:
The subject license application to export low-enriched uranium to Canada for use in the WR-1 reactor was forwarded for Commission action on December 19, 1978 (SECY 78-679).
In that paper the staff advised that facility attachment infor-mation had been requested and would be forwarded when received.
On January 23, 1979, the staff received a telephone call from the Department of State advising that a facility attachment for the WR-1 reactor has been concluded.
We are relaying this verbal information in the interest of early notification to the Commissioners.
We expect State to provide additional information on facility attachments for other Canadian facilities at a later date.
