Enclosure to PS:79:017 NRC I&E INSPECTION REPORT #50-537/78-1 The CRBRP Project Office finds the subject report to be factually correct.

The CRBRP Project Office does not regard any statement in the subject NRC report as proprietary nnd makes no application for withholding any of the statements from the Public Document Room.

The following word corrections to Paragraph 4, Page I-2, are requested:

Substitute the word " decommissioned" for " abandoned" in the second sentence of Paragraph 4. " Abandoned" has the connotation that the facilities will not be used again and have been irresponsibly left in place. This is not the case; the CRBRP meteorological facilities will be removed shortly except for the permanent facilities which will resume operation at a future date.

Insert " test hole for a potential" before the words "on-site quarry" in the third sentence of Paragraph 4. The location is a test hole from which rock was excavated for use in an investigative program.

The results of this program will be used to determine the suita-bility of the location for an on-site source of concrete aggregate.

No development of an on-site quarry is being undertaken.
