Dear Mr. Hoyle:
Enclosed please find an application from Jeumont-Schneider for a license to export specially designed components in the amount of
$10,000,000.00 to a number of reactor facilities located in France.
The issuance of this license is not required by the applicant until April 2,1979, because these components are presently licensed under Department of Commerce license A 303043 which expires on April 1, 1979.
Before taking action on this license application, we would appre-ciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the issuance of the requested license would be inimical to the interests of the United States, including the common defense and security.
Sincerely, Gerald G.
