SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT Docket No. 71-9225 Model No. NAC-LWT Package Certificate of Compliance No. 9225 Revision No. 69 Evaluation By letter dated July 16, 2019, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System ML19199A1312), NAC International, Inc. (NAC), requested renewal of Certificate of Compliance No. 9225 for the Model No. NAC-LWT transportation package. NAC did not request any changes to the package design, operating procedures, or acceptance tests and maintenance program.

In support of this application, NAC submitted a partial consolidated application, in that the page changes submitted for Revision 45 of the application consolidated the supplements dated October 19, 2015 and October 14, 2016; December 23, 2016, May 15, 2017, May 18, 2017, August 2, 2017, and October 10, 2017, but not the application dated August 18, 2015.

In the consolidated SAR, NAC incorporated all supplements previously approved by U.S.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The staff also reviewed the operating and maintenance procedures for the package and found them to be adequate.

CONDITIONS Condition 20 was revised to authorize use of Revision No. 68 until April 30, 2020.

Condition No. 22 was revised to reflect the new expiration date of April 30, 2025.

The references section has been updated to include the application and supplements were clarified to indicate which certificate holder submitted them.

CONCLUSION Based on the statements contained in the application, and the conditions listed above, the staff concludes that the changes indicated do not affect the ability of the package to meet the requirements of 10 CFR Part 71.

Issued with Certificate of Compliance No. 9225, Revision No. 69.
