Lattin Nover:ber 26, 1969 The insert and withdrau lines from the penetration of the dryvell to the reactor pressure vessel pedestal are...legaately cupported except cere of the clanps attaching the pipes to the support fraces give vertical support only - these should be replaced with clc-ps that extend corpletely around the pipe, providing thernal conditions vill pernit. Alno, the nupport franes beyond ti.e dryvell penetration should bc horizontally restrainad.

The nost critical insert and withdraw lines from the pedestal to the control Rod Drives should be dynamically analyzed to deterr.ine the naxitum stresses in these lines.

In these runs, there are no horizontal restraints and the spans are ruch greater than 9 feet.

The above cc:~ents should not be taken as indicating that all of the Cin;;s I piping systc 2 are adequately supported to resist selt.nic lotces, as only a fe *wurs were devoted to this inspection and review.

The loads as indicated have been found to be acccptable, hc. aver, it is our understanding there Icads do not consider any seismic loads but rather only consider dead v:eight and therral ic:ds.
