On November 28, 1978, I provided Messrs. Cohen, Blau, and Like with a copy of the NRC Staff policy on open meetings (43 Fed. Reg. 28058) published on June 28, 1978. A copy for Mr. Shapiro was provided separately.
Please be advised that several meetings have been held between the Applicant, Long Island Lighting Company, and the NRC Staff since the publication of the NRC Staff policy, which were not noticed.
These meetings occurred during the latter part of 1978.
The last such meeting occurred on December 1,1978.
At the December 1,1978 meeting, two documents were distributed and discussed.
One document entitled, "Shoreham Outstanding Issues", dated November 21, 1978, was prepared by the NRC Staff.
The second document entitled, "Shoreham Open-Item Analysis" was prepared by LILC0.
Copies of these documents will be provided as attachments to the sumary of that meeting.
The summary will be provided separately.
With respect to future meetings between the Applicant and the NRC Staff which are subject to the NRC Staff policy noted above, you will be appropriately informed.
