The enclosed route is submitted pursuant to 10CFR 73.73(a)(1) for approval for use in shipping irradiated reactor fuel from the R. I.
Nuclear Science Center to the reprocessing plant in South Carolina.
The shipment will utilize the Battelle Memorial Institute BMI-l cask which will be hauled by Tri-State Motor Transit Co. of Joplin,. Missouri.
It is our understanding that most of this route has been approved by NRC for use by other shippers.
