Gentlemen:
Haddam Neck Plant Site Emergency Plan In Reference (1), Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company (CYAPCO) was requested to prepare and submit an upgraded emergency plan for the Haddam Neck Plant by January 1, 1980. This document has been prepared in accordance with the format of Regulatory Guide 1.101.
In accordance with the Reference (1) request, CYAPCO hereby submits the enclosed upgraded Site Emergency Plan. The Plan is also an update of Amendment 22 of the Haddam Neck Plant Facility Description and Safety Analysis (FDSA). This amendment consists of Revision 7 of the Site Emergency Plan which has been updated to comply with the intent of Regulatory Guide 3.101, and the State of Connecticut Emergency Operations Plant, Annex V.
The revision also reflects the guidance provided in NUREG-0610.
Revision 7 and the associated procedures are in full compliance with 10CFR50, Appendix E, and have been reviewed and have not been found to constitute an unreviewed safety question.
This revised Emergency Plan will be implemented by January 1,1980.
