Dear Sir:

Subjec t: Supplemental Response to IE Bulletin 79-03 Information provided in Reference (3) indicates that Vermont Yankee's original response to Bulletin 79-03 was inadequate because our answer did not directly address the Bulletin items. Consequently, a search of purchase order documentation has been conducted and it can be concluded that ASME SA-312, type 304 or other welded pipe manufactured by Youngstown Welding and Engineering Company has never been used at Vermont Yankee.

We trust this resolves :he outstanding issue regarding IE Bulletin No. 79-03 Should you ha e any additional questions, please contact us.

Very truly yours, VERMONT YANKEE NUCLEAR POWER CORPORATION s
