Dear Mr. Haupt:

Attached to Mr. Montet's copy of this letter are the three remaining state and local references requested by the NRC Staff as part of Question 301.38 contained in Enclosure 2 of Reference (a). These three references con-sisted of the following reports:

1) " Report of the Archaeological Site Survey Conducted at the Plum Grove Site, Savanna, Illinois" prepared by M. L. Fowler and M. J. Dudzik.
2) " Plum Grove Project Phase II Archaeological Testing" by Elizabeth Benchley and Michael L. Gregg dated February 15, 1975.
3) " Final Report of An Archaeological Survey of the Carroll County Station, Carroll County, Illinois" by Harold Eassen, Elizabeth Benchley and William Billeck, dated 1979.

In addition, copies of the Inventerv of Historic Structures in Carroll, JoDaviess and Whiteside Counties and the Inventorv of Historic Landmarks in Carroll, JoDaviess and Whiteside Counties 2348 050 09 0

a Conunonwealth Edison NRC Docket Nos. S50-599 S50-600 Mr. Clifford A. Haupt: June 18, 1979 were given to Ms. S. Curtis of Argonne National Laboratory on May 2, 1979 during the carroll County Site visit. Savanna Pioneers by Dr. R. D. Bourland and Carroll County - A Goodiv Heritace by E. G. Thiem may be obtained locally in the Carroll County area.

The remainder of Question 301.38 will be answered with Commonwealth Edison's responses to the aforementioned Enclosure 2 questions of Reference (a) and by an updated text portion of the Carroll County Station - Site Suitability - Environmental Report.
