Rogers DATE: 5-?S-79 TIME: 11:00 AN EDT DL$tillPTION OF IIEPORTABLt OCCURRENCE While in cold shutdown an inspection of the piping for the feedwater flow transmitters revealed that:the sensing lines werv incorrectly piped up.

The flw nozzles have 2 sets of taps each of which has a high side ~ind low side sensing line for the purpose of tacasuring dif ferential pressure ac-rtist the f1w nozzle.

TeerMafer f1w is determined using the flw nor-rie charetteristics and the ceasured dif fert ntia) pressure. The normal.

arrangenent is to pipe up to the high and low side sensing lines on either tap set 1 or tap set 2.

In actuality one high side line on tap set 1 and one Irw side on tap set 2 were used. With this piping arrangement feedwater flow ano reactor power as calculated by the process conputer cannot be guaranteed due to lack of correlation data of flow versus dif-ferential prvssure for this configuration. The piping arrangevent will te changed prior to startup to correct the error.

There wert no personnel overexposures or injuries and no releases of radioactive materials as a result of this occurrence.
