Maine Yankee Steam Generator Feedwater Piping In accordance with our recent discussions, please find enclosed the following information relative to the Maine Yankee Feedwater System:
a) Details of Steam Generator Feed Ring - See attached Combustion Engineering Dwg. #E-233-120, Rev. 3 b) Number of plant full load trips to date - Maine Yankee has experienced 23 full load trips to date.
c) Examples of steam generator water level traces on full load trip - See attached copies of the steam generator level traces from full load trips experienced on 2/13/76, 5/13/76, 8/31/78 and 12/5/78.
d) Information relative to feedwater regulating valve closure time on plant trip - The Maine Yankee feedwater regulating valves have been timed to close in less than 10 seconds under no flow conditions. Flow induced forces on these valves result in a net force in the closed direction. Thus, the closure times under full flow conditions would tend to be faster if anything.
