Arkansas Nuclear One - Unit One Reportable Event 50-313/79-03
Dear Sir:
This letter is to confim the telephone conversation between 31r. W. Johnson (NRC, Region IV) and Str. J.P. O'Hanlon (Arkansas Nuclear One, General 3hnager) at 1000 on April 25, 1979. This is reported to you in accordance with T.S. 6.12.3.1.c.
At 0100 hours0.00116 days <br />0.0278 hours <br />1.653439e-4 weeks <br />3.805e-5 months <br /> on 4/25/79 with the reactor in a cold shutdown condition, a leak was discovered in "B" Decay Heat Loop discharge located in the Reactor Building. The leak was in a 1 inch drain line socket weld to an 8 inch cross connect line to the "A" Decay Heat Loop. The 1 inch drain line will be replaced. The cause of the failure at this time is unknown. Due to the plant condition and sirall jiugnitude of the leak there was no hazard to the health and safety of the public.
