ORDER Ihis is with reference to Intervenor's March 30, 1979 notion requesting the Board to " require all cathematical ccc:putaticns and ccr;ater codes supplied by Stone & Webster Engirmering Corporaticn to be subjected to verificaticn and analysis by an independent agency, the expense of which is to be borne by the applicants."

The basis for the moticn appears to be recent Cam:ission directives suspending operaticn of five nuclear plants as a result of cnic"1nticnal errors by Secne & Webster in the ccuputaticn of certain seismic stress There is no shcwing, hwever, that the cc cuter codes involved codes.

in the recently shut down plants are involved on the present acplication.

(In fact, the Staff expressly states that "the particular codes imulvira the five plants in questicn are not e:: ployed in the Haven application).

Intervenor's motion, hmever, may also be read as going to any Secne &

Webster "models and cocputaticns used for the Haven project."

Either way, our conclusion is the same:

the Staff's reviea of this license application is currently undersay; Intervenor's motion states no sufficist basis to warrant intrusicn by the Board upcn that Staff review in the nunner suggested.

The motion is hereby dismissed.
