(1) Qualifications of the Current Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) 1.
The following information is presented in response to refurence (a).
a.
The Radiation Protection Officer (see enclosure (1)) is responsible for assuring that all radioactive material shipping packages manufactured or used by Concord af ter approval of this program are designed and fabri-cated under a Quality Assurance program approved by the NRC.
b.
The Director, Weapons Quality Engineering Center, shall appoint an individual to perform the audits specified in the quality Assurance program (submitted as enclosure (1) to reference (b)).
In addition, that individual will audit the activities of the RPO annually.
The individual appointed shall have no responsibility in the activities to be audited.
