Dear Mr. Keppler:
This letter is in response to Mr. Davis' letter concerning an inspection of activities at the Duane Arnold Energy Center conducted on January 31 and February 1-2, 1979.
In the letter, we were requested to provide information concerning actions we plan to take to strengthen emergency radio and telephone communications during an emergency.
Installation of additional telephone service in the Emergency Control Center and radio equipment providing greater range for monitoring teams will be included in modifications to security communications equipment.
The modifications are being made to implement the Modified Amended Security Plan.
At this time, we anticipate completing the security comunication system modifications by July 1, 1979.
