Brugger Director, Research Reactor Facility Research Park Columbia, MO 65201 _ Gentlemen: This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. A. G. Finley and J. P. Patterson of this office on February 21-23, 1979, of activities at University of Missouri, Columbia, authorized by License No. R-103 and SNM-247 and to the discussion of our findings with Dr. D. M. Alger, Associate Director and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection. The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and interviews with personnel. No items of noncompliance with NRC requirements were identified during the course of this inspection. Areas examined during the inspection concern a subject matter which is exempt from disclosure according to Section 2.790 of t.he NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal ' Regulations. Consequently, our report of this inspection will not be placed in the Public Document Room. ,pn
