APPLICATI0tl FOR EXPORT LICENSE, DATED 1/25/79, COMPONENTS TO INDIA FOR TARAPUR REACTOR, XCCM0240 Purcose:
To inform the Commission of the receipt of a license application for export o# ccaponents to India.
Discussion:
Enclosed for the information of the Ccmmission are copies of an application for a license to export replacement parts and components to India for use in the Tarapur reactor Units 1 and 2.
Copies of the application have been placed in the Public Document Room.
The applicant has confirmed that these parts are standard items required for the normal operation of the Tarapur reactors during the same period that the U.S. supplied fuo'., under XSNM01222 and earlier export licenses, is being utilized.
We have forwarded this request to the Executive Branch for its views.
Ccemissioners are requested to advise

the staff of any particular issues or information regarding this proposed export.
Unless directed other-wise by the Ccmmission, it is my intentien to forward an analysis and recemendations on the proposed export to the Commissioners upon receipt of favorable Executive Branch views in accordance with "r. Chilk's memorandum of April 30 on SECY 79-260.
