No major equipment out of service.

Refueling outage to commence 4/24/79.

Scheduled to enter Mode 5 (cold shutdown) 4/25/79.

SUMMARY

OF NRC INSPECTION ACTIVITY DURING PERIOD 4/19/79 Performed inspections of some control room operations on all shifts.

Toured portion of auxiliary building and spent fuel pool area.

Br'efed two operating shift personnel on NRC concerns on Three Mile Island.

Total operating shift personnel briefed is 41 of 41.

Held meeting with plant manager to discuss the RII inspection status with regard to the TMI incident.

Obtained. plant design information requested by NRR.

GENERAL PLANT STATUS All three units operating with no major problem.

Oconee 1 at 100% Power on Unit 2 reduced due to water leak in turbine Oconee 2 at 92% condenser box.

Oconee 3 at 100%

No significant mainten,ance scheduled.

9:30 a.m., 4/19 2.

SUliMARY OF NRC INSPECTION ACTIVITY DURING PERIOD 9:30 a.m., 4/20 Reviewed plant n?erations en all three shifts.

Witnessed performance of monthly routine test of Unit 3 EGDH pump.

Four operators were stationed at ea.ch valve througnout the test (2.5 hours5.787037e-5 days <br />0.00139 hours <br />8.267196e-6 weeks <br />1.9025e-6 months <br />) with radio communication to cuntrol room. Test was' satisfactory.

System valving restored and valves padlocked in proper position for emergency use.

Several operators returning from Lynchburg simulator training on TMI stated the simulation was good, useful and worth the trouble going.
