i Enclosed for filing are three (3) signed originals and nine-teen (19) copies of a document entitled " Application for Amend-ment to Operating License", and attachments thereto.

f This application seeks to modify JAFNPP Technical Specifica-tion Section 4.ll.D.l.b regarding emergency service water pump test acceptance criteria such that allowance for normal wear is provided. Attachment I is the proposed modification. Attachment II is a safety evaluation.

Prompt review and approval of this Technical Specification

- modification is requested because restart of JAFNPP will be con-tingent on this modification.

The Authority has classified this application for amendment to the operating license as Class III. Enclosed is a check in the amount of $4,000 as the filing fee, per 10 CFR Section 170.22, which the Authority pays under protest pending a final determination of the legality of the fee schedule.
