Dear Mr. Kouts:
The enclosed request for information relating to the Chemical Decontamination of the Dresden Nuclear Power Station Unit No. I has been received by NRC from the Attorney General's Office of the State of Illinois. Questions 5, 7, and 8 relate solely to actions taken by the Department of Energy and cannot be answered by the NRC.
We will inform the Attorney General that we have referred these three questions to DOE for separate response.
Please provide your agency's response directly to the State of Illinois Attorney General with copies to the NRC.
