ORDER May 30, 1979 This Board does not propose to take oral limited appearance statements in the course of the evidentiary hearing on the pumphouse settlement and turbine missile issues scheduled to commence on June 18, 1979 in Bethesda, Maryland.
For several reasons, including the limited availability of counsel for one of the parties, it will be necessary to proceed immediately with the receipt of evidence.
The Board appreciates, of course, that, although the two issues were raised by it sua sponte, there likely is substantial public interest in each of them.
Accordingly, it will accept written limited appearance statements and will arrange for their inclusion in the hearing transcript as if delivered orally.
Three copies of the statement should be submitted to 2266 246 79062103f;7 !
the Board at or prior to the commencement of the hearing on June 18 (either in person or by mail).
The Board will assume responsibility for insuring that counsel for each of the parties to the proceeding, as well as the stenographic reporter, receive copies.
