Subject; Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station, Unit 1, Docket No. 50-395 OL We are now in the process of completing our environmental evaluation of the nuclear license application for the above referenced facility (NPDES) and are in possession of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit No. SC 0030856, dated June 21, 1976, issued for the Summer facility by your agency.
For purposes of compliance with the provisions of 5401 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972, could you please provide the necessary certification that discharges which may result from-the Sumer facility will comply with the applicable provisions of sections 301, 302, 306, and 307 of that Act or otherwise indicate whether it is your intent to have the NPDES permit serve as the requisite certification.
