Station, Units 1 and 21 1 REPORT OF TUGCO, et al., - APRIL, 1979 Pursuant to,,the direction of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board during the Special Prehearing Conference on June 21, 1978 (Tr. 124-1251 in South Texas, and during the con-ferences in Comanche Peak and South Texas on December 5, 1978 (Tr. 79-90), TUGCO submits this report on discovery during the month of April, 1979.

During the month TUGCO provided two supplements to its previous responses to the initial interrogatories and requests for production of documents to it from the Department of Justice, and also met with the Department's attorneys regarding disco.very matters.

I Also during the month, TUGCO met with NRC Staff counsel regarding discovery matters and plans at least one further such meeting. Supplemental responses to . Staff interrogato' ries are in preparation.

. Counsel for TUGCO in Dallas have had schedule discussions regarding supplemental discovery with representatives of the Public Utilities Board of the City of Brownsville. Consistent with the Board's suggestion at the last prehearing conference, TUGCO is endeavoring to coordinate all outstanding discovery matters and believes that its supplemental responses to the ,

Department of Justice and to the NRC Staff will go a long way toward meeting Brownsville's needs. TUGCO will be in a position to provide any further supplementary responses to Brownsville that may be required upon review and discussion by both parties of TUGCO's supplements to Justice and NRC.

During April, TUGCO received the Department's responses to TUGCO's initial set of interrogatories and request for pro-duction of documents.
