te an application for an appropriate amendment to achieve corrective action for item A.l., it should be understood that no activity is in accord with NRC regulatory requirements unless and until it is specificclly authorized in an NRC license.
Steps should be taken to ensure that NRC-licensed materials are hereafter possessed and used only as aut5orized by your license.
This also refers to the telephone conversction between you and S. R. Lasuk of this office on January 9, 1979 regarding the byproduct material you received from RCA in about 1970 (item A.2.).
It is our understanding that, if you are unable to obtain receipt or transfer records for this material, you will perform assays to determine the type and quantity of each isotope received in the RCA shipment and maintain the assay records for future inspection by the Commission.
