h, NRC MATERIALS LICENSE SNM-1831 SALEM NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION UNIT NO. 2 REFERENCE NO. 070-02858 We are requesting that Condition 8 of NRC Materials License No. SNM-1831 be amended in the following manner:

160 milligrams Np-237 It was brought to our attention by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation that the maximum amounts of U-238 and Np-237 specified in Materials License SNM-1831, 12 milligrams of U-238 and 18 milligrams of Np-237, were in fact, the maximum amounts specified per dosimeter.
We plan to utilize eight dosimeters and the total amount of U-238 and Np-237 con-tained per dosimeter will not exceed 14.25 milligrams and 20 milligrams respectively.
We will not, therefore, possess more than 114 milligrams of U-238 and 160 milligrams of Np-237.
It is requested that any communications regarding this matter be directed to the undersigned.
