[External_Sender] Seabrook Power Plant concerns Date:
Tuesday, September 24, 2019 10:08:01 AM
Dear Ms. Mattison,
I'm writing as a concerned citizen of Newburyport, who lives within a 10 miles radius of the Seabrook nuclear power plant. I am very alarmed by the reports I have read of the degrading concrete and the unprecedented risk that our community faces. Every year I sign permission slips allowing the school nurse to give my children potassium iodide in case of a nuclear disaster, and I am terrified at the thought that this is the only protection we can offer. I hope that the judges of the Atomic Safety and Licensing reverse the decision to allow the plant to keep operating, andI am asking that the NRC require the plant owners to collaborate with experts around the world to demonstrate their due diligence prior to a license extension.
Thank you for your time and attention, Karina Moltz 15 Summit Place Newburyport, MA
