NRC STAFF MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME Citizens for Equitable Utilities, Inc. (CEU) filed its " Answers of Citizens for Equitable Utilities, Inc. to First Set of Interrogatories From Houston Lighting and Power Et A1. and Nuclear Regulatory Commission Staff" (Response) on January 14, 1980.
This Response was not received in the NRC OELD mail room until the afternoon of Janunty 21, 1980.
Based upon a cursory review of this Response, it appears that some of the answers are not complete and that some of the Staff's interrogatories are not answered at all.
Accordingly, the Staff intends to prepare and file a motion to compel discovery pursuant to 10 CFR h 2.740(f).
Due to the delay in receipt of CEU's Response, the Staff will require additional time to prepare a motion to compel discovery.
Accordingly, the Staff requests an extension of time up to and including January 29, 1980 in which to file a motion to compel discovery against CEU.
Respectfully
- mitted, s_- >
