I apologize for not providing this response to you r.coner but, as you are aware, the Commission and staff have been occupies with continued support of the efforts at Three Mile Island, Orders to other facilities, appearances before the President's Commission and various committees of Congress that are investigating the Three Mile Island accident. and the realignment of our own resources and priorities to give immediate attention to the problems result.ing from the accident.
Thank you for your suggestion and of fer of assistance.
Your suggestion was one of many which were considered for possible application at the plant.
In addition, your offer of assistance was one of many we received.

The efforts of a very large number of people in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the State of Pennsylvania, other Federal and State agencies and industry organizations have been applied at the plant.
These efforts were successful in assuring the continued cooling of the reactor core.
