Dear Mr. Anderson:

Thank you for your recent letter concerning the routing of Three Mile Island waste shipments to the State of Washington.

We have been notified by our NRC staff at Three Mile Island that Mr. Ben Rusche, who is a consultant to Metropolitan Edison on waste management activities, has been in touch with you to discuss the routing through West Virginia. We understand Mr. Rusche will continue to communicate witn you and the carrier for the Three Mile Island waste shipments to resolve any routing problems for your State.

We are mailing under separate cover a copy of the information and the signs which will be part of the emergency kit to be furnished to each truck hauling the waste matiirial.

If you should have any further questions or need additional information, please let us know.
