We also call to your attention the Presi den t's panel appointed to inves tigate the 3MI in ci dent, whi ch was ri gh f ully infuriated when Mr. H.R.
Denton of the Office of Reactor Regulation announced the resumption o f licensing procedures for new nuclear power plants.
The Council agrees with the panel's action to force the NRC to withdraw the announcement.
NRC licensing raocedures should be suspended until the panel has presented its findings to the public, Congress and the Executive for consideration.
