In accordance with a conversation between your Mr. Edward Schweibinz and our Mr. F. R. Hodges, Public Service Indiana requests the previously sub-mitted responses to be reviewed accordinc1.y.

Reference NRC Inspection Report No. 546/79-03; 547/79-03.

Item of Noncompliance (546/79-03-02; 547/79-03-02)

Under Corrective Action Taken and Results Achieved, second paragraph, last sentence, add "as specified in the PSI specification."

Item of Noncompliance (546/79-03-03; 547/79-03-03)

Under Corrective Action Taken ad Results Achieved, Item a), add to the end of the sentence "and the contaminants were removed and the steel reinspected."

Item b), change to read " Additional inspections were performed af ter clean up was accomplished."

Item c), change to read "The Newberg QC Engineer re-inspected prior to the placement of concrete." .

Under Corrective Action Taken to Prevent Recurrence, itea b), insert

" Engineers and" after QC in the first sentence.

Item of Noncompliance (546/79-03-04; 547/79-03-04)

Under Corrective Action Taken and Results Achieved, change to read "The Qualification Program and Actachment G of WC QAP-7 (Certificate of Qualification) for the post-tensioning embedment inspector have been updated to include this added responsibility."

" Corrective action stated above has proven to be inadequate as revealed by subsequent NRC and PSI inspections. PSI is reviewing the adequacy of the corrective actions previously taken and is developing additional corrective measures." _
