Barr of Detroit Edison and Mr. H. S. Phillips of your organization on April 19, 1978. In th at telephone conversation, the Nucles: Regulatcry Commission was notified that the variation in insulation thickness on IE cable jacketing had been determined to be non-reportable per 10CFR50.55(e). This item had been previously reported to your organization as a reportable item on February 27, 1978.

This letter cocolies with the request of Mr. H. S. Phillips of your o ganization to provide a written record cf the determination of non-reportability,since a written interim report on this problem was submitted.
