Dear Mr. MacDonald:
In response to your request on this date for historical data on cask usage for the NAC-1 Spent Fuel Shioment Casks, the following information regarding number o# shipments and over-the-road mileage is provided:
Cask NAC-1A 19 shipments 68,810 miles Cask NAC-1B 88 shipments 245,155 miles Cask NAC-'lC 84 shipments 227,060 miles Cask NAC-lD 120 shipments 318,500 miles In addition, Cask NAC-lA was utilized on-site at the Oconee Nuclear Plant and later, at the Turkey Point Nuclear Plant for fuel shuffling between pools.
Cask NAC-1A and Cask NAC-1B were sold and delivered to the Duke Power Company on February 1, 1978 and March 1, 1979 respectively.
