Dear Sir:
In Reference (b), Maine Yankee committed to meet with the NRC by June 1, 1979 to discuss a program for re-analysis of all seismic category I Maine Yankee piping systeias using a current piping analysis program.
Subsequently, additional engineering effort was required to address issues necessary to resolve the Maine Yankee Order to Show Cause, Reference (c), in which we committed to perform certain piping analyses within sixty days of plant restart.
In light of these events, Maine Yankee proposes to defer discussion of our piping re-analysis program until we submit the results of the ongoing Shock-0/NUPIPE-SW comparison analyses.
We trust this position is satisfactory; however, should you have any question, please contact Mr. John R. Hoffman of this office.
Very truly yours, MAINE YANKEE ATOMIC POWER COMPANY h
