The i;RC fervarded this amendment request to the Executive Branch to obtain its vicus as to whether.this request would nect the acplicable criteria in the Atcaic Energy Act, as acended by the Nucicar.' ion-Proliferation Act of 1978. At this tirne, in view of current conditions in Iran, the Executive Eranch is unable to make the required deterninations in accordcnce with the l

Atcaic Energy Act, as an: ended. The h?.C staff agNes with the opinion of the Exceutive Branch, and, accordingly, is returning your request for extension of XUO3301 without action. When the situatica in Iran stabilizes, the ::RC and the Executive Branch would be prepared to reconsider pour request.
